Beyond Snapshots: Experiencing Bangladesh Beyond the Photo Tour
Our photo tour to Bangladesh turned into a unique photo tour, capturing the contrasts and beauty of the country through our cameras. Each place we visited offered unique photographic opportunities, from bustling city scenes to tranquil countryside vistas. We have already published the next Bangladesh Photo Tour
We embarked on a journey that took us from the bustling streets of Dhaka to the serene landscapes of Chittagong, weaving through the tranquil beauty of rural farmlands and wetlands.
Bangladesh’s cities were chaotically active, offering amazing street photography opportunities, while the countryside was lush, fresh, and relaxing.
In Dhaka, the chaos of the streets provided rich material for street photography.

In Dhaka, the chaos of the streets provided rich material for street photography.
We photographed the most incredible places in the city, from the shipyards, the fish market, the streets, to the largest stone mine, from the brick factories to the infamous rubbish dumps. Our adventure continued as we boarded a small wooden boat to cross the River Buriganga, making our way to the Keraniganj Shipyard, also known as the Ship Repairing Yard. Here, we photographed the workers engaged in the arduous tasks of dismantling colossal ships or piecing new ones together.
Capturing scenes at the Old Dhaka Riverfront and the city’s railway stations, our photos highlighted the daily life and energy of its people. These images showed the hustle of commuters and the tradition of river crossings, offering a window into the city’s soul.

Our time at the Old Dhaka Riverfront was particularly memorable. Photographing hundreds of people navigate the river daily in small, beautifully handcrafted traditional wooden boats was a sight to behold.
As we moved beyond Dhaka, the serene landscapes of rural Bangladesh offered a stark contrast. Photographs of rural farmlands, and wetlands showcased the country’s natural beauty.

Our very special visit to the hill tribes and Cox’s Bazar beach allowed us to capture the cultural diversity and scenic beauty, from tribal life to the expanse of the sandy beach.
Panam Nagar’s abandoned buildings offered a different subject, an abandoned metropolis stuck in time since the year 1965, where more than fifty buildings had been abandoned and left to rot.
We even got a special permit to visit the Bandarban Hill Tracts district, where we photographed the daily lives and environments of local communities.
Overall, our photo tour through Bangladesh allowed us to document a diverse range of subjects, from urban life in Dhaka to the pristine natural and cultural settings throughout the country. Our photographs from this trip provide a visual narrative of our exploration, capturing moments of life, tradition, and the environment in Bangladesh.
