CANCELLATION INSURANCE and COVID-RELATED INSURANCE.- There are many companies that will cover coronavirus-related cancellation and/or interruption as well as Coronavirus Medical assistance. This is most times part of standard trip cancellation coverage.
You are required to purchase insurance, with the minimum listed on the http://www.nomadphotoexpeditions.com/travel-insurance/ page , that is valid internationally, and you will be kindly asked to provide proof prior to departure for the trip in order to participate.
Most of the insurance companies are covering Covid. Typically these should be the possible situations:
– If you test positive before departure – Depending on the insurance you have bought you will be reimbursed in full or in part by your insurance company (most companies reimburse the 100% of expenses paid).
– If you test positive during the trip – Depending on the insurance you have bought your insurance will treat it as any other disease.
CANCELLATION POLICY
Our cancellation terms are exceptionally flexible. Combined with a cancellation for any reason insurance, the risk of loss due to cancellation can be significantly reduced. Important Notice Regarding Terms and Conditions:
Selected trips and destinations require a non-refundable booking fee. We strongly recommend that you carefully review the specific trip page and your booking contract for each reservation. The information provided herein is partial, summarized, and offered for informational purposes only. If you cancel 181 days or more days before departure.-
We will retain 50% of the Booking Fee .
If you cancel 180 days to 121 days before departure.-
We will retain 100% of the Booking Fee as well as the Second Payment. If the payment deadline for the second payment has expired and any balance remains unpaid, you will remain responsible for the outstanding amount, whether in full or in part, in accordance with this contract.
Only if this Second Payment has been paid in full by the date specified on your contract, you may choose to have 50% of this amount credited in full toward a subsequent trip. Your decision on which trip must be submitted in writing within 7 days of your cancellation.
This future trip must be scheduled to depart no earlier than 6 months and no later than 365 days from the cancellation date. If the selected subsequent trip does not depart due to causes directly attributable to our company, you may reassign the credited amount once to another trip, to any destination, under the same time conditions. Any cancellation by you of this future trip, including its one-time reassignment, will result in the loss of all amounts paid at the time of this new cancellation.
If you cancel 120 days to 61 days before departure.-
We will retain 100% of the Booking Fee as well as the Second Payment. If the payment deadline for the second payment has expired and any balance remains unpaid, you will remain responsible for the outstanding amount, whether in full or in part, in accordance with this contract.
Only if the Second Payment has been paid in full by the date specified in your contract, you may choose to have 25% of this amount credited in full toward a subsequent trip. Your choice of the new trip must be submitted in writing within 7 days of your cancellation.
This future trip must be scheduled to depart no earlier than 6 months and no later than 365 days from the cancellation date. If the selected subsequent trip does not depart due to causes directly attributable to our company, you may reassign the credited amount once to another trip, to any destination, under the same time conditions. Any cancellation by you of this future trip, including its one-time reassignment, will result in the loss of all amounts paid at the time of this new cancellation.
If you cancel 60 days or less before departure.-
We will retain 100% of all payments made. You will remain responsible for any outstanding amount regarding any due installment not paid, whether in full or in part.
Any airline tickets issued are subject to the carrier’s refund policy. Leaving an expedition in progress, for any reason whatsoever, will not result in a refund, and no refunds will be made for any unused portions of an expedition. No refunds will be given for unused hotel rooms, meals, sightseeing trips, or trek arrangements.
