The destination is just the beginning. We dive beyond the surface and access the extraordinary.
It’s about where, but—most of all—it’s about what.
Just being in Paris doesn’t guarantee that you will get to know Paris, just as being in Varanasi, New Delhi, or Ulaanbaatar doesn’t guarantee you will understand these places.
Far more important than the destination itself is exploring the interesting themes and subjects in each location.
You need to know what is authentic or of genuine photographic interest and what isn’t, and you need, of course, a solid connection with the locals.
Most of our work revolves around finding interesting and relatively rare photographic opportunities in locations that aren’t often photographed. We focus on discovering hidden gems and evaluating less-visited places to experience the events from a different point of view.
Only after years of photographic experience on the ground do you get to know a locale’s special feeling, out-of-the-way places, and how to make ties with the people who live there as well as with their reality.
